While we’re still not impressed by the specifications of the iPhone, rumors are saying that there will be a new version next year and that this one will make it to Europe. Now it seems though that the first version will also make it Europe, but the problem is that Europe seems to equal Germany, France and the UK in the Apple universe. The reason Apple has cut it to these three countries is because this is where the most of buyers are located, and that Apple wants to use its two-year contract strategy over here as well. Meaning that the iPhone will be exclusive to a single operator in each country and that you have to tie yourself to that operator for at least two years.
Next year Europe will really mean the entire Europe though, along with Asia, which will also get a chance to check out the new phone from Apple. However, we’re seriously doubting that the Asians will be anymore impressed than we are. In fact the Asians are much likely to frown upon the poor iPhone than anything else. They have had access to phones that are far superior to ours and are even moving on to 4G as we speak.
