The KDE project has now announced that both Intel and Novell has decided to become corporate Patrons of KDE. This means that both companies have decided to openly and financially support KDE. This means that the two will join Mark Shuttleworth, Trolltech and Klarälvdalens Datakonsult AB (KDAB) as corporate Patrons of KDE. KDAB became a Patron as late as earlier this week. Being a Patron of KDE means that you pay €10,000 (€5,000 if you’re a small corporation or an individual) a year to support the development of KDE. And you get to use a fancy logo on your website.
