Logitech has released two new keyboards called Wave and Cordless Optical Wave. The name ‘Wave’ comes from the fact that Logitech has engraved the symbol of a wave on the spacebar … or not. The keyboard is shaped like a wave where the natural positions of the fingers are valleys and the space between and at the side of the fingers are the peaks. If you look at the pictures below you can see that the entire keyboard is shaped like a wave both from above and from the side. This is to make the board as comfortable as possible.
The Cordless Optical version has a battery time of 15 months with two regular AA 1.5V batteries. If you feel that this is a bit vague and hard to keep track of there is a charge indicator on the keyboard.
Cordless Optical Wave works (fully) with both Windows and OS X and will be available later in August at $89.99. The regular Wave will cost $49.99 and arrive in October,
Over att ExtremeTech they’ve tested the keyboard and overall very positive, but perhaps not overwhelmed. More over at ExtremeTech.
