AMD/ATI has decidedly released the August revision of the Catalyst drivers for the Radeon graphics card series. Version 7.8 brings updates to the Overdrive function, including a stress test for testing the stability of your overclock. The drivers brings many fixes to Vista-related performance and games in general, including AA and HDR. The 3DMark series gets another boost of up to 6% through the Radeon HD 2000 series, both single and CrossFire. The reason the drivers are released so early in the month is because the 7.7 contained a security flaw that could be exploited in Vista. Catalyst 7.8 can be downloaded from ati.amd.com.
