Intel X38 reference motherboard pixelated

Intel X38 is around the corner and over at Chinese hardware forum Chiphell they’ve published pictures of a late samples of an Intel X38 reference board. As with most Intel reference boards there are no heatpipes, just huge gray fins and heatsinks, not to mention the black PCB and blue PCIe x16 ports. Nothing fancy, which makes it even more appealing in the opinion of yours truly. The solid state voltage regulators are all cooled by two big heatsinks and unlike some other motherboards we’ve run into recently, Intel has managed to place the 8-pin ATX power connector really well in the upper left corner of the board, with the 24-pin ATX power connector close to the right side of the board.

Intel X38 sports PCI Express 2.0, dual PCIe x16 slots and overclocking potential like no other board seen up till today, or so the story goes. Below are some of the pictures published by Chiphell.
