With the fairly recent launch of the iPhone, we can’t say that we’re surprised by the answer given in a recent interview with Sony Ericsson gaming guru Peter Ahnegard. When PocketGamer bumped into him at the Games Convention, they asked him if and when, perhaps even before Christmas, we will see a PlayStation Phone, he said that;
“It’s obviously something that we’re looking at but right now I can’t really comment. Before Christmas, certainly… but exactly which Christmas I can’t confirm!”
Certainly an interesting answer but he does say that Sony will not launch a “PlayPhone” if it can’t meet the expectations of the consumers. However he also says that this is certainly an idea that Sony has been thinking about for some time.
