Transcend has announced a new addition to its aXeRam memory series with its the first 2GB memory kit following the DDR2-1066 specification. Transcend’s new memory series is designed for enthusiasts and overclockers. The two 1GB memory modules have a clock frequency of 1066MHz, 5-5-5-15 timings and an operating voltage of 2.1 V. The memory modules also sports Enhanced Performance Profiles (EPP) and the same six-layer PCB used by the already launched DDR2-800 modules we reported about earlier.
The price of Transcend’s DDR2-1066 2GB memory kit will be around €143. We’re a bit curious to see how the modules performs and stand up to the competition.
