Sony has both announced and released the v2.00 firmware for PlayStation 3. The step from 1.93 to 2.00 doesn’t bring any drastic changes to the consoles, but it does add a couple of good features and a slight reorganization of the XMB, the possibility to customize the XMB through themes, create playlists for both photos and audio files, Information Board for the latest news, Remote Start added to Remove Play, and a PlayStation Network category. There’s more though and you can find all of the updates and changes at PlayStation.com. We’re still waiting for the in-game XMB though.
