ASUS has launched a new CPU cooler called with a somewhat reversed design as the fan blows the hot air up and away from the processor. ASUS Triton 77 consists of a small metal plate attached to the processor and with heatpipes leading up to the much bigger heatsink. There we have the 18 dBA 92 mm fan (2,300 rpm ± 10% with PWM Control) attached to the downside of the heatsink. The high-density fins and pure copper heatpipes (heatsink made from aluminum) are suppose to be enough to keep even the hottest quad-corse at bay.

This design supposedly also offers the advantage of cooling the voltage regulators and lowering the temperature of these by up to 10-15 °C for an overall much more stable system.
