Cooling manufacturer Noctua has announced its first high-end thermal compound; NT-H1. This premium-grade compound is a hybrid compound of micro-particles for minimal thermal resistance, long-term stability and ease of use, according to the manufacturer. The combination easy to use and high performance is far from common, yet Noctua claims to have achieved this. The paste has excellent pliability and spreadability, and Noctua recommends the users to simply put one drop on the middle of the IHS and then just simply install the cooler.
The paste will then spread to an even layer without any additional work. There’s no burn-in time but top performance from the start, and will remain that way for many years with little drop in performance. NT-H1 is not electrically conductive and will not damage your motherboard if you happen to miss the IHS and spill. The paste is available in syringes of 1.4 ml and costs €7.99 / $8.99.
