Radeon 3400 series is the new low-end series for ATI. It will replace the 2400 series, and will introduce some new features like PowerPlay, CrossFire X and hybrid CrossFire. Other than that, the finer manufacturing process is the main attraction. The cards will most likely run ultra-cool thanks to the new 55nm process, especially considering how little the cards of the 2400 series consumes and the improvement we saw with the 3800 series.

These card sports 120 40 stream processors, 64-bit memory interface and DirectX 10.1, PCIe 2.0, HDMI and UVD are all there along with DisplayPort and the obvious possibility of running them with passive cooling makes them excellent choices for HTPCs. The cards are expected to arrive later this month, making an appearance at CES quite feasible.

The rumored Radeon 3600 series should be on the way too.
