Hiper has extended the Type M series with a new ultra-efficient 780W model, HPU-4M780. Even though the power supply is brand new, it has the same cable management and mesh design. The “ultra-efficient” description spawns from the fact that Hiper has measured an overall efficiency of 85% (Chroma at 230V). The power supply is branded as SLI ready and sports two 8-pin and four 6-pin PCIe power connectors.
The 135mm fan (sleeve bearing) runs at 1000 ~ 1800 rpm, depending on load, and is suppose to be supersilent. Peak wattage is 980W. It sports four 12V rails of 18A each, which can handle a total load of 720W (60A). MSRP is US$ 139 and € 99 (+ VAT).
