FiD 2.5-inch SATA 10000 is the name of InnoDisk’s latest Solid State Drive and following OCZ’ recent launch, InnoDisk has decided to go one step further, and launch a 128GB model. The drive relies on the SATA II interface and offers constant read and write speed of 110MB/s and 90MB/s respectively. This is marginally slower than OCZ’ and Samsung’s latest SSDs (120MB/s, 100MB/s). But the trump is definitely that this is probably the biggest SLC (Single-Layer Cell) NAND flash harddrive on the market.

“The 2.5-inch SATA interface *FiD 2.5-inch SATA 10000* has a tough outer metal case, enormous capacities, high reliability, low power consumption, noise-free and anti-shock features that make it ideal to replace Hard Disk Drives.”

InnoDisk’s new FiD 2.5″ 10000 series will appear on the market in the second quarter. We can only hope that the development continues in the same direction and that prices continues to come down, soon to reasonable levels.
