Sony has released the next firmware for its video game console PlayStation 3. Firmware 2.20 adds support for DivX files larger than 2GB, Blu-ray profile 2.0 and the possibility to resume playback of a Blu-ray or DVD movie, even after the movie has been removed. There have been some reports of problems and crashes after the new update, especially from people who own the original 60GB version. No word from Sony on these problems, and until then it might be worth waiting a while before an official comment has appeared.
