The new Flatron W2252TE LCD monitor form LG is the most energy efficient monitor on the market, says LG. This was made possible through a reduction of the power consumption of up to 45% (about 40W). GreenPower, environmental factors and power efficiency are some of the most powerful words used today when marketing new PC components and peripherals, which makes this monitor anything but a big surprise, although even if PC monitors are far from the most power consuming appliances. What makes this monitor even more impressive though, is that it still sport some quite impressive specifications in general.

The resolution is still 1680×1050 pixels but it’s backed by a 2ms response time, 170 degree viewing angles and 10,000:1 contrast ratio (dynamic contrast). The only weak point is the brightness, a mere 250cd. According to LG, Flatron W2252TE should end up in stores in August.
