While the headline might seem like something rather obvious, there is a bit more to it than meets the eye. AMD is quite happy with how RV770 performs, almost an understatement, but there is still a lot of room for CrossFire optimizations. We’ve already seen what Radeon HD 4870X2 can do through the previews posted a while back, but apparently AMD is hoping wow to the people by tweaking the drivers before the launch. The best thing about it is that this will also improve performance with Radeon HD 4850 and 4870 CrossFire setups. Exact numbers will of course between games, but there should be noticeable improvements across the board.
