MSI has deigned a new combo port for its laptops that enables users to connect both eSATA and USB devices to the same input. The new connector also makes possible for the manufacturer to optimize the number of in and outputs as eSATA become a more and more popular interface, while still not reducing the number of USB ports. No less than thirteen coming MSI laptops will sport the new combo port. The laptops will be of all shapes and sizes targeting Gaming, Entertainment and Professional users.
The models are as follows;
- Gaming series: GX720, GT735, GX620, GX630, GX400
- Entertainment series: EX720, EX620, EX630, EX300
- Professional series: PR621, PX620, PX200, PR420
