Samsung was a bit late to launch a netbook of its own, NC10. Now that pretty much every system builder have launched cheap Atom-based notebooks, it seems Samsung has found itself in a position where it has to do something more to attract customers, and have turned to the oldest trick in the book; cutting prices. Samsung NC10 hasn’t even reached stores in many countries, but Samsung has already decided to cut the price. Not unexpected since the launch price was a bit higher than most of the competition.

It lowered the price with about €50 and have tweaked the specifications with a 160GB harddrive instead of the original 80GB model. Samsung seem pretty decisive to claim a part of the netbook market with the NC10, not just by offering most of the features found with other models, but also by a competitive price.

Considering it has a 6-cell battery, the new price should put it at a very interesting price point of about $500 in stores.
