Sharp has now launched a new mobile phone in Japan and it is literally an eye catcher. Sharp Aquos Fulltouch 931SH is namely made for resting your eyes on, in the standard mode the phone look like a single giant display. It measures 3.8″ but the most impressive about it is the resolution. Or what do you say about a resolution at 1024×480 pixels, in a mobile phone! Most 10.2″ netbooks sport a resolution at 1024×600 pixels for comparison.
The touchscreen display is completed by a keypad that slides out and one might worry that the remaining specifications would be rather poor but that is certainly not the case. The phone comes with everything from 5.2Mpixel camera (with image stabilizer), Bluetooth with A2DP support, TV tuner and more.
As we mentioned earlier, Sharp is targeting the Japanese market, which is of course a hard kick in the teeth after drooling all over the pictures available. But with some luck maybe we will see it or a sibling here in the west in a not too distant future. In the mean time we’re trying to dig up some more information on this very interesting phone.
