During an event in Japan, MSI decided to show off its successor to the Wind Notebook. The first model available in most countries was called U100 and the new model will be called U120. The differences may not be plenty, but U120 does bring some news for both the design and the hardware. First of all the computer how has a more angular look, for from the classic Volvo 242, but still not as curvy as the first model, which felt a bit too round to yours truly.
MSI has also equipped the notebook with a black and glossy frame that stretches down towards the keyboard. The latter is identical, which is a good thing. The overall design of U120 feels a bit more professional, which is also reflected by the hardware specifications that now include integrated support for HSDPA (wireless broadband) that makes it even more for the user on-the-go.
Wind U120 is expected to surface in December/January and beside the few changes mentioned above the computer will remain identical to Wind U100, which doesn’t necessarily have to be a bad thing.
