Graphics card manufacturer XFX has for long been a exclusive supporter of NVIDIA, both graphics cards and motherboards. With the new year XFX will also bring in AMD’s ATI assortment, to some degree, which in no way means that it will leave NVIDIA, but it certainly shows that ATI is doing great right now. Several of NVIDIA’s partners has started to sell ATI-based graphics cards and this has been said to be mainly because of poor margins.
That now also XFX turns to AMD should mean that the manufacturer’s graphics card plans for next year are looking quite interesting, which we in no way can complain about. What this means to NVIDIA, which is left with only one exclusive partner in EVGA, is hard to say.
Exactly how many cards XFX will bring in from the ATI assortment remains to be seen but it looks like the higher-end cards at this point.
