Earlier this year Apple unveiled an updated Mac Book pro 17″. The news was a new aluminum case, made from one piece, updated hardware and a new display. The new creation would be available in stores at the end of January, early February. Rumors have started to spread that the laptop will not arrive by then, but first later. Apple’s self says that the laptop will take 2-3 weeks to arrive, when you chose a standard configurations.
If you change anything in the configurations, for example a non-reflective display, the suggested delivery time jumps up to 3-5 weeks. Even if these times would be correct it would still mean a delay by at least a week.
Alas there is no official information from Apple on possible delivery problems. So far no one seems have gotten their laptop and it doesn’t look like they will before the middle of February at least.
