Intel can add another two partners on the Solid State Drive market. After memory manufacturer Kingston earlier decided to start selling Intel-made SSDs under its own brand, A-DATA Technology and Power Quotient International (PQI) have decided to follow. Both companies are already present on said market, but will now also launch Intel-made units but under their own brands.
PQI at least seems to intend to continue working with its previous SSD series while A-DATA’s plans are a bit more vague. Intel is starting to gain some momentum on the SSD market and we, the consumers, can only hope that more companies follow and that prices will drop to a more affordable range, even if Intel probably will make sure that the prices will not drop too fast.
