Microsoft presented the BlueTrack technology back in September last year and then launched two new mice using the new tech. Unlike red laser optics BlueTrack has considerably better reception as it reads off a larger area. This means you can use the mouse on almost any surfaces. The margin of error is smaller and the optical sensor isn’t disturbed by reflections in the same way. Microsoft has now presented two new BlueTrack products.
Wireless Mobile Mouse 6000 is intended for people who travels a lot. The mouse is ambidextrous and beside the mouse looking small, so is the transmitter. The nano USB stick is only 8mm thick, which should be very convenient when you carry the mouse around.
Except from the mobile mouse Microsoft has launched the first BlueTrack desktop package consisting of the Wireless Mouse 5000 and Wireless Keyboard 3000 that together forms Microsoft Wireless Desktop 3000. Both mouse and keyboard can be had separately. They use the same minimalistic USB receiver and the keyboard has a thin design with blue tones. Wireless Mouse 5000 is also ambidextrous.
The prices are around $50 for Wireless Mobile Mouse 6000, $40 for Wireless Mouse 5000 and Wireless Keyboard 3000 and around $70 for the Wireless Desktop 3000 package.
