ASUS is already the world’s biggest maker of motherboards and graphics cards, but lately it has also been moving in on the PC building market. Especially its notebooks and netbooks with the Eee PC family leading them has improved ASUS’ market shares. According to the component giant’s VP ASUS has raised its goals for its PC building section and become the third largest computer builder in 2011.
Today it is HP that is sitting pretty secure on the throne while Dell and Acer are battling it out for second place. Even if ASUS is already fifth on the same list, with a market share of around 5%, it has to increase by around 10 percentages to reach its goal.
If the goal is possible is hard to say and even if the sales in Europe haven’t been increasing to mentionable degree lately it has high hopes for China where there is an enormous marketing potential.
