EVGA has some of the hairiest enthusiast motherboards around and it has managed to keep its coming LGA1156 models away from leering camera holders. But at Computex the information flows freely and not the least about Intel P55 chipset and Lynnfield processors. EVGA has a bunch of products to show in Taiwan and even if the high-end Classified wasn’t shown there were still other goodies to look at.
EVGA presented two new Intel motherboards, both supporting 3-way SLI. The only board that was allowed to boot was EVGA 655 SLI FTW that was paired with three GeForce graphics cards. The motherboard uses the Intel P55 chipset.
Information on the second motherboard from EVGA, code-named 132-LF-E657, is a bit more uncertain. Some claim it’s another P55 motherboard, while the code-name and the status of the board implies it would sooner use the coming H57 chipset. Either way this board proudly boasts 12 phase power supply, much like the one used by X58 Classified.
