After introducing the Raven case where Silverstone turned the motherboard 90 degrees it has continued down the same path. The company’s latest model is called FT02 and just like Raven the motherboard has been turned so that the expansion slots are facing up, which is more to the nature of hot air movement. Cold air enters from beneath, is pushed through the case and leaves through the top of the case.
SilverStone wants to ensure that you get enough air through the case and has installed three 180mm fans in the floor of FT02. One 120mm fan in the top of the case will be assisted by the eventual expansion cards to move the air out of the case.
The aluminum case will appear in August and cost around $200.
