The UX series is ASUS answer to the new thin notebooks that are arousing interest around the web, and even we have seen a whole lot of press material and such surrounding the new models we haven’t heard any real reviews. At TrustedReviews they’ve published a short articles where we get a closer look at ASUS’ minor, UX30, that sports a 13.3″ display and Intel’s CULV platform to draw consumers away from MSI X-Slim and Acer Timeline.

ASUS UX30 is at most 19.9mm thick and supports 4GB RAM and 500GB harddrive, and single or dual-core CULV processor with Intel’s G45 graphics. The 13.3″ screen has a resolution of 1366×768 pixels and the top looks like brushed aluminum.

The design of the rest is relatively plastic but they do say that it is a big step up from MSI’s piano painted plastic details. The keyboard is also said to be better with ASUS’ model.

The great question is what ASUS will ask for this thing, which we hope to find out soon.
