The official memory support with Core i7 family tops out at 1066MHz DDR3. Since Core i7 processors are affected the memory voltage and it can’t go very high without damaging both memory and processor, but memory makes have managed to get by anyway. G.Skill is one of the companies that has made the most of the situation and launched what it calls the world’s fastest triple channel DDR3 memory kit operating at 2133MHz.
G.Skill Perfect Storm 2133 CL9 6GB consists of three 2GB modules that the impressive frequency aside are set to use 9-9-9-24 timings. The modules can do this at only 1.65V and comes with a custom cooling solution.
