SilverStone officially announced the second case of the Raven series last week. Raven 2, or RV-02, is a miditower case and just like the first model it sports a somewhat different design. The motherboard is turned 90 degrees which means the expansion slots are now facing up and take advantage of the natural flow of air. The case ships with three specially made 180mm fans and one 120mm fan for the best possible cooling.
SilverStone Raven 2 is both smaller and lighter than the first case but it has the same raven-black theme with the three bundled fans installed in the bottom of the case. This way the cold air moves across the hot components and out at the top of the case.
The case can house both ATX and mATX motherboards, three 3.5″ harddrives but also one 2.5″ harddrive/SSD.
The dimensions are 212x503x643mm and can hold 220mm long power supplies and the longest graphics cards available today(~26cm). Other features include a rear-mounted Clear CMOS button and holes in the motherboard tray for easier installation of third-party CPU coolers.
Raven 2 will cost around $200 when it appears later this month.
