EVGA is one of the stronger actors among enthusiast motherboard makers and as expected it has great plans for Intel’s LGA 1156 platform. The motherboard company have a number of different Intel P55 motherboards coming and pictures of them have surfaced. At HardwareCanucks they have looked closer at EVGA P55 FTW but also shared insight into EVGA’s remaining P55 assortment, including several highly interesting models.
EVGA is going all in to satisfy the enthusiasts and do it in many ways, among others through the new controller EVBot. Like a remove EVBot can be used to control the BIOS settings of the board and can be compared to ASUS OC Station. EVBot looks slightly simpler and will be available as an accessory for several P55 models.
EVGA will announce at least six different P55 motherboards, EVGA P55 FTW, P55 Classified 200, P55 FTW 200, P55 SLI, P55 LE, and P55 Micro.
The last is a mATX motherboard that will compete with ASUS Maximus III Gene which we covered pretty recently.
Extra interesting is that EVGA P55 Classified, which we know fairly little about, will allow reading voltages directly from a LED display on the board. Just like P55 FTW 200 the board comes with an nForce 200 bridge for more PCI-E channels as it offers four PCIe x16 slots with high bandwidth.
