Acer have been working with Ferrari for many years and launched a number of notebooks sporting designs inspired by the car brand. The latest among car-branded computers is Acer Ferrari One and it is based on AMD’s fresh Congo platform. Despite the netbook format it’s not an Intel Atom processor under the hood, but instead AMD has taken the opportunity to show the possibilities of the new platform. The heart is an AMD Athlon II X2 L310 CPU with cores operating at 1.2GHz and 1MB L2 cache.

The chipset is AMD M780G and it sports an integrated Radeon HD 3200 graphics processor that enable HD playback on the 11.6″ display, with 1366x768px resolution.

The computer is colored brightly red, as expected, with carbon fiber details, crowned with the Ferrari logo at strategic locations.

Other noticeable specifications include Wireless N WiFi, Bluetooth, Dolby Home Theatre and 6 cell battery. Prices start at 499€ apparently and Ferrari One will appear in stores on October 22nd when Microsoft launches its next operating system, Windows 7.
