Dell’s currently thinnest notebook is called Adamo 13 and launched earlier this year. The 13.3″ notebook is the thinnest on the market, but in a few days things will change when Dell announces the successor Adamo XPS. To make sure Adamo 13 won’t be forgotten Dell has revised and upgraded specifications quite a bit.

First of all it has swapped the 1.4GHz Core 2 Duo processor for the a lot more powerful 2.1GHz Core 2 Duo S. At the same time it has doubled the SSD storage capacity from 128GB to 256GB, and replaced Windows Vista with the coming Windows 7.

The price remains the same, $2,299, but the entry level model have been updated with a bigger SSD 1.4GHz Core 2 Duo CPU ( vs. 1.2GHz) and costs $1,499.

Considering the measurements of Adamo XPS we won’t be finding the same powerful hardware in Dell’s new model, but hopefully there will still be enough to get around since Dell has chosen to upgrade the “old” model to keep interest up.
