Most notebooks between 8″ and 11″ sport meager Atom processors but when HP launches the new Pavilion dm1 it is in a slim but still enough room for a dual-core CULV processor. Intel’s Celeron dual-core SU2300 CPU operates at only 1.2GHz but with 2GB DDR3 memory and two CPU cores it should be a lot faster. The computer can be upgraded to 3GB RAM and 250GB or 320GB harddrive.
With the slim package comes one HDMI output, wireless network (802.11g) and 6 cell battery. The computer measures 289 x 204 x 19.8 – 30.6mm and weights 1.39kg.
Prices start at 450€ and for that you get 11.6″ display that offers 1366×768 pixels. You also get the 64-bit version of Windows 7 Home Premium.
