Info tool CPU-Z has been updated. CPU-Z 1.54 brings several news but especially the new hexa-core support for both AMD and Intel. Intel’s recently launched the Xeon 5600 series based on the hexa-core 32 nanometer Westmere-EP architecture and the latest version of CPU-Z identifies these without problems, and it even supports AMD’s not yet launched Phenom II X6 series.
Phenom II X6 is AMD’s first hexa-core processor for retails and is slated for April 26th together with the AMD 890FX chipset.
It also support several new AMD and Intel processors, including Core i7-880 we recently reported on.
