Dell goes smartphone with Android

Smartphones sport hardware that in many ways can compare to small notebooks and on a fast growing market more and more companies see the potential of these gadgets. We have revealed how several computer builders have been eying the smartphone market, ASUS, Acer, Dell, etc. and especially Dell has now made a break for it and officially launched its first mobile phone, using Google’s Android operating system.



Dell Mini 3i follows the generic Android formfactor with 3.5″ large display display with touch technology and with the Android 1.5 operating system for the user to control the hardware.


Exact specifications remain clouded, but the phone will first be introduced in China and Brazil, but is said to be heading to Europe and North America soon enough. When and exactly what kind of hardware we will be seeing hasn’t been revealed.
