The system information tool CPU-Z has been released in a new version that supports a whole lot of new processors and platforms. Among others it can now be used to identify Intel’s first 32 nanometer processors long before the launch, as both the desktop Clarkdale models, but also the mobile Arrandale processors, are now supported. For the lucky few who have come across Intel’s coming hexa-core Core i7 980X CPU it will also be correctly identified.

Also AMD and VIA have been blessed with updates as AMD’s new quad-core Phenom FX-5000 CPU can now be identified, but also several of AMD’s Athlon II models. CPU-Z will also detect DirectX 11 graphics circuits better.
