Mozilla’s latest version of Firefox is, according to StatCounter, the most popular in the world. Even if Microsoft’s Internet Explorer is the most used it has a pretty big spread between the different versions. Mozilla have a more up-to-date user base that in week 51 took Firefox 3.5 up to 21.93% of the global browser market. Number two on the list is IE 7.0 with 21.2% of the market. Close after it we find the latest version of Microsoft’s browser, IE 8.0, with 20.33%.
Interestingly Google Chrome doesn’t even qualify into the global ranking list, but in Sweden it has 4.86% of the market (but then again, IE8.0 leads Firefox 3.5 here with 29.23% vs. 26.15%).
