EVGA will be one of the first to ship water cooled editions of GeForce GTX 470. It has posted GeForce GTX 470 Hydro Copper FTW for sale in its own web shop at 499 USD. The price is around $100 over the reference card, but it not only sports better cooling but also higher clock frequencies.
EVGA GeForce GTX 470 Hydro Copper FTW ships with 650MHz GPU clock frequency, while the 1280MB GDDR5 memory rolls on at 3402MHz. Slightly more than the 607MHz and 3348MHz of NVIDIA’s reference design.
EVGA claims that its Hydro Copper water block will lower temperatures with 30 degrees Celsius. The top model EVGA GeForce GTX 480 Hydro Copper FTW is also listed for 650 USD, but cannot be ordered just yet.
