Microsoft made a big fuzz about Internet Explorer 9 supported GPU acceleration. Not surprisingly NVIDIA took the opportunity to show that its entry level platform, Ion, will offer great advantages over regular (read: Intel’s) integrated chipsets. In a video presentation of Microsoft’s Internet Explorer 9 developers platform starring two netbooks, one with and one without Ion, NVIDIA tries to show how Ion can assist with GPU acceleration of HTML5, JavaScript and Direct 2D technology.
