SanDisk Sansa e280 har idag släppts av SanDisk som den senaste i raden av spelare som skall försöka rubba iPod. SanDisk är världens näst största tillverkare av MP3-spelare, även om de är långt efter Apple, och har sedan länge varit ute efter att störa Apple. De lanserade för ett tag sedan en kampanj med bilder med budskap som iFollow m.fl. Det som man först och främst ser är den nya spelarens lagringskapacitet: upp till 8GB, och det till ett pris av $249.99. Och då kan man utöka kapacitet med upp till ytterligare 2GB genom en microSD-kortplats.
Utöver den 8GB stora spelare så kommer det att komma spelare vid 2GB (e250), 4GB (e260) och 6GB (e270) och dessa kommer då att kosta $139.99, $179.99 och $219.99.
Spelaren mäter (W x L x H) 1.7 in. x 3.5 in. x 0.5 in. (4.4 cm x 8.9 cm x 1.3 cm) och har en 1.8″ stor färgdisplay (QCIF+). Spelaren stöder även Microsofts PlaysForSure vilket gör den kompitabel med många online-butiker.
