Diamond har aviserat en ny modell som bygger på det triumferande Radeon HD 4670-chipet. Denna nya modell kommer med en ökad minnesbuffert på 1GB, 900MHz GDDR3-minne. Kärnan arbetar i standardfrekvensen 750MHz och med 320 Shader-processorer under huven kan den större bufferten kan vara motiverad. Men vi måste vänta på de första testerna innan vi ger ett slutgiltigt omdöme. Radeon HD 4870 1GB har tjänat mycket på sin större buffert, och samtidigt som vi absolut inte tror att vi kommer att se samma skillnad med 4670, kan det åtminstone bli märkbart.

The 4600 series of cards boast up to 3 times the performance of the previous generation of GPUs.
The HD 4670 is a single slot card, PCIE 2.0, with 1024MB of DDR3 memory and a clock speed of 750 MHz. The memory speed is 900 MHz, designed with 320 stream processors.
