Nokia har nu tagit steget in i datorvärlden genom att släppa sin första laptop, Nokia Booklet 3G. Från att ha varit ett företag som enbart satsat på mobilmarknaden har man alltså nu tagit ett steg ytterligare i utvecklingen och detta är något Nokias Executive Vice President for Devices, Kai Oistamo, menar är ett naturligt steg för Nokia.
Laptopen baseras på en Intel Atom processor, med upp till 12 timmars batteritid, 10 tums skärm och matchvikten ligger på 1,25 kg. Ca två cm tjock är skapelsen och prisuppgift och tekniska specifikationer väntas den 2 september på Nokia world.

Nokia has a long and rich heritage in mobility and with the outstanding battery life, premium design and all day, always on connectivity, we will create something quite compelling. In doing so we will make the personal computer more social, more helpful and more personal.”
Om Nokias popularitet kommer att vara lika stark inom datorvärlden som i mobilvärlden kan vi nog se en ny kraft att räkna med bland datortillverkarna.
