Commodore ressurrected a few years ago after being dead since the early 90s and having its great period a few years before that. Commodore has revealed plans for a new keyboard computer with a C64 design, sporting an Intel Atom and Ion 2 inside.

The computer will be a kind of all-in-one PC, like ASUS Eee Keyboard, that will house all components needed, except monitor and accessories. Commodore earlier released a similar model called Commodore Phoenix that was based on Intel’s Core 2 platform and a Core i7 model is coming in 2010.

It is now expected to present a more energy efficient version sporting a dual-core Intel Atom D525 processor (1,8 GHz) and NVIDIA ION 2 for a retro-platform for those who don’t need the very best. Other than that the system comes with 4GB DDR3 RAM, 1TB harddrive, Blu-ray or DVD player, HDMI and DVI outputs, but also WiFi 802.11n, Bluetooth and a memory card reader.
