Gigabyte is the second biggest motherboard maker in the retail segment and it has made more boards than most companies. Even if we have seen our share of motherboards over the years it’s still astonishing to see how Gigabyte has created a work of art consisting of 1,200 motherboards and graphics cards.
The artwork can be found at Taoyuan International Airport in Taiwan where a large circular plate consists of a serious amount of silicon. At lower right “corner” of the circle it has built a silhouette of the island Taiwan. After the circle it has typed out “Made In Taiwan”, also using motherboards.
The components used in the art comes from Gigabyte’s RMA department and hasn’t been sacrificed for the art but will instead show that Taiwan has risen from the crisis and will keep its focus on the environment and recycle material.
Gigabyte’s circuit board artwork can be found at Gate B7 and is 30 meters long. The build took a couple of days and was done completely by hand.
