Texas Instruments has presented two new mobile processor circuits for smartphones and tablets. The OMAP44xx series is based on ARM Cortex-A9 and looks to become something above average with the flagship OMAP4440 leading them – a dual-core 1.5 GHz CPU supporting 1080p in 3D.

Texas Instrument presented two new mobile processors that will launch in 2011 and the entry model OMAP4430 is expected to arrive first. The processor is made with 45 nanometer technology and has two 1 GHz Cortex-A9 cores and a powerful PowerVR SGX 540 GPU to handle everything coming their way. OMAP4430 is expected to find the smartphone market in H2 2011.

The real bomb os that OMAP4440 will according to TI be even more powerful than the sibling. This through a processor clock frequency of 1.5 GHz and 25% more powerful graphics. Malta. TI OMAP4440 is expected to be the one foudn in tablets, which is not that surprising since it is the more powerful of the two. When and in what products that new circuits will appear isn’t certain, but mass production will start in the latter half of 2011.
