On several occasions we’ve dug up information on NVIDIA’s coming flagship GeForce GTX 590. In the latest GeForce 266.7 beta drivers from NVIDIA we find traces of not just the dual-GPU GTX 590 but also a new mid-range card, GeForce GTX 550 Ti.
The coming drivers contain strings for identifyingboth cards, which is usually a good sign for a close launch. Our sources tell us NVIDIA is aiming for a launch by the end of February, but as with GeForce GTX 580 details are scarce.

Our previous reports points to that GeForce GTX 590 will sport dual GF110 circuits, for a total of 1024 CUDA cores and a combined memory bus of at 2 x 384-bit. The graphics card will probaby get 3GB GDDR5 memory and relatively low clock frequencies for keeping the power consumption in check.

As we have also stated GeForce GTX 590 is more or less a PR stunt where both price and limited availability will limit the spread on the market.
GeForce GTX 550 Ti is said to be based on NVIDIA’s new GF116-400 GPU paired with 1GB GDDR5 memory and is quite similar to GeForce GTX 560 Ti with dual-slot cooler and dual dubbla DVI-I outputs and mini-HDMI port.
Exact launch dates still uncertain.
