ASUS Maximus IV Gene-Z looks to become one of the more feature rich motherboards based on Intel’s new Z68 chipset, at least if we measure density of thwm. The motherboard will in Micro-ATX shape offer tons of functions, alongside of a big power supply and integrated X-Fi 2 audio processor. The launch is slated for early June, but already we have pictures to share.
ASUS Maximus IV Gene-Z is a member of the Republic of Gamers family and targets overclockers and gamers. We are hardly surprised by the fact that the board offers a big powersupply with ASUS DIGI+ VRM and Extreme Engine Digi+. The motherboard also has physical Start and Rebook buttons on-board, measuring spots for voltages, UEFI BIOS and LED for troubleshooting.
ASUS has not yet revealed the detailed specifications of the board, but the pictures do show a ROG Connect port, USB 3.0 ports, HDMI output and eSATA ports on the i I/O panel. The board will be presented officially at Computex in June, up until then you will have to settle for the following.
