Besides launching two new water coolers Corsair has released three new SSDs for filling the gap between 120 and 240 GB, and offer SSDs at 480 GB. Two SSDs are in the Force 3 series, while the top model is part of the more expensive GT performance series.
Corsair has released three new SSDs and two of them are in the higher price range, while one of them expand the lineup to another price segment. In the Force 3 series that is Corsair’s mainstream series comes a unit at 180 GB that will fill the price gap between 120 and 240 GB, while the 480 GB version is for those that need more capacity. In the performance series Force GT there is a new model at 480 GB.

All units comes with support for SATA 6.0 Gb/s, which is standard for SSDs with SF-2280 controller. The high capacity on all units have resulted in minor performance differences on paper, but it is important to note that Corsair writes “up to 85,000 IOPS” so in reality the Force GT 480 GB should performa better than Force 3 180 GB and 480 GB.
The units will be at retailers soon, and Force 3 180 GB should already be in stock.
