Google Maps is one of the most apps that comes with Android phones, and there has been talk about taking the app to the next level. Google Maps will now help you find indoors, not your bedroom but public places like shopping malls and airports.
Ever had a problem finding in a shopping mall, or lost at IKEA? Google has just updated Google Maps to include indoor environments in the form of shopping malls, marts, airports – well basically all kinds of public places.
A detailed map will appear when you enter a building, and the regular blue spot will tell you where you are. The map will also automatically change when you switch floors. To begin with the service is only available in USA and Japan, but the longterm goal is to map all shopping malls and public indoor spaces. The new functions in Google Maps is available from version 6.0.
